You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the NAVAL CHAPLAINCY SCHOOL (NCS) of NAVAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING COMMAND (NETC).
Duties
You will update and maintain training database for accuracy of information.
You will gather feedback from students to make recommendations for changes in course content.
You will brief management to provide a current status on resources and training programs.
You will establish and maintain professional contacts for the purpose of training development, consultation, implementation or assessment.
You will review military training instructions and reports for adequacy and accuracy.
You will develop and prepare statistical reports related to training.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
GS-11 Requirements
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying curriculum, instruction, and evaluation procedures in accordance with established guidelines and procedures; 2) Incorporating training material modifications into the curricula in addition to implementing operational risk management pertaining to the development and delivery of assigned courses; 3) Managing curriculum development and maintenance of tools and systems; and 4) Utilizing automated training software, such as the Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARS), to manage course schedules.
GS-09 Requirements
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying instruction procedures in accordance with established guidelines and procedures; 2) Incorporating training material modifications into the curricula; 3) Assisting with managing curriculum development and maintenance of tools and systems; 4) Utilizing automated training software, such as the Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARS), to manage course schedules.

GS-11 Education Substitution
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or
- Three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or
- LL.M., if related
GS-09 Education Substitution
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or
- Two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or
- LL.B. or J.D., if related
