You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Travel Program Division, Executive Director & Director of Staff Department of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.
Duties
You will serve as a Lead Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA) for the Defense Travel Program.
You will direct, conduct analysis, transaction review or certification and reporting for reimbursable and direct appropriated funds in order to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations, policies and laws.
You will develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures, Desk Guides, Checklists, etc. for a variety of complex segments of financial management.
You will direct or gather key supporting documentation as required for external audit samples, internal reviews, and tri-annual review for reimbursable and direct budget and financial process and transactions.
You will research problem transactions and create management reports utilizing STARS-FL, CFMS, WAWF/iRAPT, DTS and EDA.

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating financial activities for a travel program to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations. Examples of financial activities are coordinate and administer travel credit cards including assigning roles and permission levels, audit corrective actions and mandatory internal control procedures, develops and implements Standard Operating Procedures.
