You will serve as a Supply Systems Analyst in the NAVAL MUNITIONS CMD CONUS EAST DIV.

Duties

You will function as the senior level staff advisor to the DET OIC. You will have an advisory role that extends across the entire DET and encompasses all aspects of the organization where the work done affects the accuracy of the ordnance inventory records. You will review a sample of inventory adjustments to determine accuracy and adequacy of inventory, reconciliation and research procedures. You will ensure that all receipts and issues are reported properly in accordance with NAVSUP P-724 in order to avoid material In-transit write-offs by NAVAMMOLOGCEN. You will interface with Explosive Safety tenet command on inventory accuracy issues and maintains, assigns and reports status via the Officer in Charge of the Explosive Safety Self Audit (ESSA). You will interface with the Detachment Quality Program Manager on quality issues that affect inventory accuracy. You will perform systems analyses of programs and problems associated with ordnance information systems. Recommends functional guidance for new systems and for system modifications. Participates in special automation projects. You will develop, refine, interpret and issue policies and procedures for a major stock point that interfaces with other ordnance IAO's and management officials, coordinates with representatives of other organizations. You will coordinate all efforts in determlnlng the adequacy of existing storage locations and facilities to meet current, new and highly specialized mission requirements with regard to inventory accuracy. You will coordinate plans for new storage layouts. You will coordinate information technology (IT) and automated information technology (AIT) equipment requirements to meet mission needs and to enhance efficiency of operations

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience using Ordnance Inventory System Wholesale and Ordnance Inventory System Retail in order to review and evaluate the impact of ordnance transactions. Experience in evaluating both field and administrative process against naval supply regulations and ordnance management directives, guidelines, transactions and procedures to ensure compliance. Experience with ordnance transactions and reporting he ability to monitor and investigate transaction records. Experience in naval supply classification, stock transactions and their application, administrative and other ordnance related procedures which directly or immediately affect inventory accuracy. Experience with conducting independent analyses to identify and resolve difficult problem areas involving naval supply process, work methods, ordnance data management, or day-to-day operational procedures.
