You will serve as a LEAD SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVY MUNITIONS COMMAND, ATLANTIC of NMC ORD SYS ENG MGMT.
Duties
You will manage material inventories and material acquisitions performed by government and contractor personnel conducting Depot operations.
You will monitor and coordinate work conducted by other supply management specialists and contractor supply personnel.
You will coordinate and execute logistics management, material movements, and supply material transactions.
You will be accountable for inventory and transactional accuracy.
You will direct, lead, and monitor supply issues; to include inventory management, and equipment as required by NAVSUP and NMCLANT.
You will lead lower-level GS-2003-09 Equipment Specialists and contracted supply and inventory management personnel.
You will distribute and balance the workload among employees as required to meet Depot commitments and delivery time frames.
You will determine daily work status to ensure timely progress is being made and make day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities, obtaining assistance from the supervisor on problems that may arise.
You will prepare production reports as well as determine estimated completion dates (ECD) for assigned tasks.
You will provide on-the-job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices.
You will participate in development of NAVSUP WSS production schedules to ensure fleet deliveries accommodate ship maintenance requirements.
Requirements

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS- 09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience performing extensive and exhaustive research; reconstructing records; and applying new developments and procedures to improve ERP processes.
Experience utilizing ERP and other inventory management software reports of NAVSUP.
Experience with organizational units and functions related to NAVSUP for the purposes of research and planning.
Experience communicating with management, engineering groups, and sponsors, both verbally and in writing.
Experience developing, collecting, analyzing, and evaluating transactional data for clarification.
Experience reviewing material management, storage, and shipping alternatives.
Experience interpreting and instructing on the use of the ERP Program.
Experience conducting, leading, and monitoring inventory audits as required by NAVSUP and NMCLANT.
Experience tracking and directing all material movements to ensure all equipment is accounted for while in custody and reaches it intended destination in a timely manner.

Education
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
