You will serve as a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the SEASPARROW ENGINEERING BRANCH (2311), SEASPARROW SYS ENG & MGMT DIV (231), ORDNANCE SYS ENG & MGTM DIV (23) of NMC ORD SYS ENG MGMT. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will coordinate and execute logistics management, material movements and supply material transactions. You will generate updates to material status, generate material handling documents, reports, etc. You will screen incoming material to determine accuracy, condition, verify NSN, quantity, unit of pack and location. You will keep supervisor up-to-date on operations, conditions of equipment etc. You will communicate in writing and verbally with sponsors, management, and engineering groups. You will have a working knowledge of Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

Requirements

Qualifications

GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing oversight and execution of various supply programs; Experience solving unusually complex or difficult supply issues associated with various DOD equipment; Experience receiving, storing and issuing of assets IAW overall warehousing plan and procedures; Experience generating updates to material status and generating material handling documents/reports. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-5) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience effectively prioritizing tasks and requirements; Experience processing and instructing others on the use of the Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) Program; Experience analyzing requests and making valid decisions, which are supportive of the command and the intent of the sponsor. Education

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:
FOR GS-09: SUCCESSFULcompletion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.B. or J.D., if related.

FOR GS-07: SUCCESSFUL completion of one full year of graduate level education OR you have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.

A TRANSCRIPT must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.
