About the Position: This position is within the U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command. Their mission is to provide World Class products and logistics support. This position will exercise full range Acquistion Operations service.

Duties

Coordinate contract operational mission functions for military/civilian employees to include its resources. Ensure timely execution of planned program events for the directorate. Research multiple inputs to prepare accurate written communication documents. Deliver verbal information for decision briefings based on sound analysis/research. Coordinate with internal/external customers to answered concerns both timely and accurately. Utilize Microsoft software to develop contracting operational reports for Headquarter presentations

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Overnight Business Travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and access.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the NH-02 grade level in the Federal service which includes administering operations for acquisition programs; collaborating with higher echelon management on operational contracting support, plans/events; interpreting acquisition/contracting policies; utilizing Microsoft office to develop long-range operational program plan calendar products. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsContracting/ProcurementInternal Controls/IntegrityOperationsOperations SupportOrganizational Awareness This is a DOD Demonstration Project position. Under the Defense Authorization Act, personnel management demonstration programs are operating in numerous Army activities and various other organizations supported by Army civilian personnel centers. Under the streamlined personnel operations for the demonstration projects, the familiar 15 General Schedule grade structure is replaced with broad pay bands that typically encompass a range of grades. For example, acquisition jobs in level NH-III of broad banding encompass the traditional GS-12 through GS-13 grades. Other initiatives under the demonstration projects include simplified job classification, streamlined hiring processes, and expanded developmental opportunities..
