Candidates should have prior experience in hospitality at the local, regional and headquarters level with specialized experience in hotel operations (rooms, F&B, recreation, events, etc.) and support department (finance, human resources, procurement, security, engineering, etc.). Duties

Supports IMCOM HQ management of the AFRCs and Army Lodging function under the direction of the IMCOM G9. Manages strategic processes associated with program implementation reflecting the requirement of DOD and U.S. Army. Research program requirements, identifies and evaluates multiple alternative solutions, formulates programs and supporting processes to address needs, and monitors solution implementation. Identifies fiscal requirements associated with program execution, and identifies trends and requirements for change as a result of analysis. Maintains knowledge of total program actions to ensure seamless management of specific processes in support of total activity needs within existing DoD and Army policy. Makes recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and modify project goals and organizational objectives. Supervises program managers of multiple centralized program area(s) at a Headquarters level and the AFRCs. Provides a full range of supervisory functions. Researches program requirements, identifies and evaluates multiple alternative solutions, formulates programs and supporting processes to address needs, and monitors solution implementation. Prepares statements of work and other documentation to support acquisition of central program solutions as necessary. Develops appropriate systems to track program actions, identifies fiscal requirements associated with program execution, and identifies trends and requirements for change as a result of analysis. Maintains knowledge of total program actions to ensure seamless management of specific processes in support of total activity needs within existing DoD and Army policy. Determines and implements changes to policy and supplemental guidance as required. Advises and assists subordinates in solving unusual or significantly complex and difficult problems, and renders decisions on controversial matters. Coordinates with other managers and representatives from other organizational entities to resolve problems. Prepares workload and production reports. Makes recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and modify project goals and organizational objectives. Is responsible for operating within budgeted allocations for the office. Assures budget revisions are approved to avoid over-obligations. Manages strategic processes associated with program implementation reflecting the current needs of the Army with regards to the total program. Assesses all program actions to ensure potential for successful field implementation as well as cost effectiveness. Maintains adequate internal controls for responsible area(s). Effectively and efficiently evaluates and completes actions ranging from those with OSD level interest to those generated by field activities.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position. Possess five years of experience as a hotel manager or major department head in a property with 100 or more guest rooms, or in the management of multiple hotel program functions at the headquarters level. All Qualified applicants will be rated against the highly qualifying criteria by a rating panel for evaluation of the quality and extent of your total accomplishments, experience and education. Those applicants determined to be highly qualified will be referred to the hiring official for consideration. The highly qualified candidates may undergo an interview and reference checks. All answers to the Highly Qualifying Criteria must be demonstrated in your resume to get credit. Possess an additional five years of experience in senior hotel management roles, such as General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Chief Operations Officer, and Chief Financial Officer, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing multiple hotel locations. Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the full range of principles, concepts and methodology associated with lodging functions to plan and complete assigned workload Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the policies and procedures of the functional and administrative areas such as contracting, finance and accounting, budget, counsel, information management, etc., to coordinate and resolve questions/problems. Possess skill in maintaining effective working relationships with both internal and external customers to serve as a point of contact for assigned projects. Possess skill in written and verbal communications to explain/defend status of project, make presentations in public forums, etc. Possess detailed knowledge of multiple hotel program areas such as financial management, housekeeping, asset management, capital projects, or front desk/reservations. Possess experience in analyzing operational issues and developing and implementing solutions. Possess experience in developing requirements documents. Possess extensive expertise in optimizing hotel operations to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve guest satisfaction, driving overall business performance. Possess experience managing various hotel types, including resorts, mid-scale, and boutique properties. Possess familiarity with advanced hospitality management systems, property management software (PMS), Point of Sales (POS) and other relevant technologies. Possess extensive experience in leading and executing large-scale hotel capital projects, including renovations and property expansions.
