About the Position: Serves as a Strategic Plans and Operations Specialist in the G3/5 Operations, Plans and Force Protection Division in the formulation of strategies, policies and plans to inform and facilitate MICC senior leader decision-making throughout the command in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Serves as the Operations Officer for the Command’s Continuity of Operations (COOP) program, Information Technology Contingency Plan (ITCP), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Emergency Preparedness (EP) programs.
Leads or participates in multi-disciplinary workgroups, Integrated Concept Teams(ICT) and Integrated Process Teams (IPT) to facilitate senior leader decision-making throughout the command.
Analyzes operational information, makes inferences and draws informed conclusions.
Ensure that plans and programs are nested with supporting and supported organizations.
Participates in command inspections involving direct reporting units including CSBs/FDOs and regional centers using standardized checklists and collaboration through the MICC Share PointPortal.
Serves as the Strategic Plans Officer in the G3/5 Plans and Future Operations (FUOPS) Division in the formulation of strategies, policies and plans to inform and facilitate MICC senior leader decision-making throughout the command.
Strategic Planner and Future Operations (FUOPS) subject matter expert (SME) responsible for representing the directorate through coordination and personal contacts with a wide variety of staff members.
Coordinates and plans of future deployments and management of emergency support operations.
Operations Officer for the Command’s Continuity of Operations (COOP) program, Information Technology Contingency Plan (ITCP), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Emergency Preparedness (EP) programs.
Leads or participates in multi-disciplinary workgroups, Integrated Concept Teams(ICT) and Integrated Process Teams (IPT) to facilitate senior leader decision-making throughout the command.

Requirements

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of occasional of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and access.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade/level position (NH-02) experience with and the ability to prepare detailed Operations Orders (OPORD), Warning Orders (WARNORDs), Fragmentary Orders (FRAGORDs), and related documents with communications skills for effective strategic planning and operational implementation coordination at senior levels and proven experience with coordinating and monitoring brigade and general officer level organizational capability in support of Command's Continuity of Operations (COOP) program, Information Technology Contingency Plan (ITCP), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Emergency Preparedness (EP) programs to provide Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) and Homeland Defense (HD) missions.

This is a NH-03 is not subject to a salary control point and is eligible for the full salary range of the NH-03 Payband
