You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE PROTOCOL SPECIALIST in the COMMANDING GENERAL, 1ST MLG of I MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.
Duties
You will be personal assistant to the Commanding General, 1st MLG.
You will support an office that clearly and directly affects a wide range of agency activities.
You will maintain and account for the Commanding General's Official Representation Funds (ORF) and Official Entertainment Funds (OEF).
You will prepare necessary correspondence and public vouchers detailing expenditures chargeable to the fund.
You will prepares budget estimates for the Commanding General's funds for the 1st MLG Comptroller.
You will obtains accurate background information for Commanding General prior to him seeing visitors or attending meetings.
You will make national and international travel arrangements based on the Commanding General's travel commitments and known preference, in accordance with appropriate travel regulation.
You will Develops Commanding General's trip itinerary with requesting agency, arranges transportation (government/commercial air)/hotel/government quarters reservations, car rental, appropriate visas, country/organization clearances, etc.
You will exercises exclusive control over the Commanding General's calendar
You will advises General/Special Staff of the Commanding General's upcoming commitments.
You will manages the Commanding General's office when long-term training exercises and world crises require Commanding General and primary staff to deploy for prolonged periods of time.
You will serve as Protocol Officer for 1st MLG. Provides expert and technical advice on a myriad of protocol issues.
You will receives and thoroughly reviews all incoming correspondence and documents.
You will receives and screens all visitors and telephone calls to the Commanding General.
You will assists the Commanding General's spouse with official commitments and social functions.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, overseeing, and executing event planning services; providing logistical oversight for national and international travel arrangements; ensuring events adhere to organizational rules, regulations, and protocol; making appointments, Manage a calendar, advising of appointments, Establish priorities; set up meetings; arrange office calls; Advise General/Special Staff; Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of social events.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
