Duties

Serves as Career Services Support Specialist responsible for independently supporting the following functional programs (Transition Readiness, DoD SkillBridge Credentialing, Family Member Employment Assistance, and Volunteer Management) and providing recommendations for program plans and materials.  The incumbent will be responsible for analyzing and developing proposals or provisions in terms of impact on program resources requirements; developing new and revised operating procedures and standards to incorporate provisions that affect operating activities and requirements; conducting review of the administration and operation of the programs and providing advice.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  BACHELORS DEGREE from an accredited college or university in a related field appropriate to the work of position AND THREE YEARS of experience in the occupation, or a related field or work area, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above.Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person-to-person contacts in order to communicate with various levels of technical, professional, management and administrative personnel. Must also have skills to organize and coordinate multiple high visibility projects simultaneously.Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software suites. Understanding of Inspector General of the Marine Corps functional area checklist process and execution; Knowledge of Share Point functions and applications, Marine On Line (MOL), and Department of Defense Transition Assistance Program (DoDTAP) systems. Operating knowledge of official tasking systems, MS Teams functionalities, and O365 applications.Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain an IT Level II or higher designation for access to PII within Department of Defense Transition Assistance Program (DoDTAP) systems and Marine Corps systems that support operation of the transition program. Ability to work independently and follow-through on assigned tasks. Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests, learning and motivation. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships using tact, diplomacy, and overall professionalism.  Ability to collect, evaluate, and disseminate information and assess and measure organizations¿ and other serviced populations¿ trends, concerns, and needs.  Telework:  Eligible for incremental telework as determined by MF policy.Measures of Effectiveness:  To ensure that all employees are working in a way that aligns with our mission and values, in addition to yearly goals, performance against the following critical elements will be reviewed during the Performance Management Process:¿           All employees:  Work Quality, Customer Service, Interpersonal Skills. ¿           Managers:  In addition to the above, Coaching, Managing & Developing Staff and Leadership & Communication.
