Duties
The incumbent serves as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) and reports directly to the Associate Chief Information Security Officer (ACISO) for Cyber Assurance, in the Cybersecurity group, under cognizance of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) in the OCIO organization.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Time in grade restrictions do not apply to Direct Hire procedures.
GS-13
In order to be deemed as qualified candidates must have one year of specialized experience which is equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. Specialized experience is defined as follows: 1. Experience ensuring that the appropriate operational security posture (i.e. physical, and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training and awareness) is maintained for an information system or program. 2. Experience actively supporting the development and maintenance of system security plans, to include coordinating system changes with the information system owner and assessing the security impact of those changes. 3. Experience analyzing, interpreting and/or clarifying Security Assessment and Authorization packages. 4. Experience recommending actions to resolve or mitigate known security weaknesses.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
