Qualifications

To qualify for 12, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11. Additional Conditions of Employment: GS-12 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: Designing and producing graphic products such as illustrations, charts and graphics to be used for brochures, posters, pamphlets, and other publications to convey the intent of the message; Adapting and manipulating computers and digital graphic tools (i.e., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design, etc.) to design and produce presentations, printed material, 3D models and exhibits; Preparing layouts of text, illustrations, photographs or charts for reproduction; Producing quality products and meeting deadlines; Communicating with customers to determine the requirements for visual material. Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
