You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST for the NAVAL FACILITIES ENG SYSTEMS COMMAND PAC.

Duties

You will apply experience and/or working knowledge government agency policies and reporting requirements in order to interpret authoritative directives and develop new, innovative accounting techniques and procedural approaches to problem solving. You will perform a variety of fiscal, accounting, and financial management duties with Fiduciary responsibility to include but not limited to: Issuance of Navy Standard Documents (NSDs) and approving contract commitments. You will review, analyze and reconcile financial data and reports for accuracy and reliability in accordance with appropriate laws, rules and regulations. You will identify deviations and root causes in accounting practices utilizing Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and make recommendations for corrections or improvements as necessary.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
• This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
