Duties

You will develop integrated logistics support (ILS) products and their implementation. You will participate in program reviews, technical working groups, supportability IPTs, configuration control board, design reviews, and problem report board. You will continually monitor, evaluate and analyze new factors and information to optimize needed support and services, adjust plans and schedules as needed, and develop new actions, plans, and alternatives to meet new requirements. You will provide collaborative and proactive technical leadership with active duty military personnel, program offices, government and private technical/engineering and academia organizations. You will develop application of life-cycle logistics/product support processes.

Requirements

• Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-03 (GS-9/10 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing integrated logistics management for the acquisition of equipment, material, products, goods or services in support of an undersea system or program. Education

The following education may be substituted for specialized experience at the NT-04:
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
An LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
