About the Position: This position serves as the Director, Facility Services (DFS) and Plant Engineering for the 633d Medical Group (633 MDG/USAF Hospital Langley). This position is located in the DHA Tidewater Market at the Joint Base Langley Eustis, in Hampton, VA.

Duties

Oversees the Medical Facility Services/Management and Plant Engineering Flight/Function/Activity. Plans, organizes, and directs facility services/management and plant engineering activities for the 633 Medical Group (MDG) and Office of The Administrator (SGA). Directs, coordinates and oversees work through subordinate contract supervisor. Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher-level management. Directs, plans, and secures funds for projects ranging from equipment installation, departmental improvements and establishing new clinics to major hospital renovation. Directs and manages all hospital major utility systems/programs and associated real property installed equipment (RPIE) to assure compliance with regulations, operating standards, and ability to meet medical mission requirements.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires a TIER 1 security investigation.
• Incumbent must have or able to obtain an appropriate, valid driver's license.
• This is a mission essential position. The incumbent is essentially "on call" 24/7/365 and maybe required to support subordinate contractor supervisors.
• Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
• This position is included in the TB examination program
• This position requires Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
