About the Position: Incumbent works for the Army Management Staff College (AMSC) and serves as the primary administrative support resource.
Duties
This list of duties is not all-inclusive:
Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and deposition of required administrative reports and correspondence.
Schedules meetings and conference calls for the directorate, prepares and manages travel related orders for member of the directorate.
Receives inquires and telephone calls and determines which require the persona attention of the supervisor and which may be referred to an appropriate subject matter expert.
Provides assistance with timekeeping ensuring all leave has been documented and certified.
Directly assists in the management of all administrative support program functions and serves as the primary source of information.
Make travel arrangements using the Defense Travel System.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the services of a qualified typist.
- The position may require temporary duty (TDY) up to 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience compiling data, preparing reports and correspondence utilizing computer software programs, and calendar/scheduling management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
