You will serve as an EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES SPECIALIST in the Operating Management Department of NAVOPHTHALSUPPTRACT VA.
Duties
You will use software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the internet.
You will provide good customer service skills to meets the needs of both internal and external customers.
You will know where or how to gather information.
You will organize and maintain information and/or use information management systems.
You will troubleshoot facility systems and to determine corrective action.
Requirements

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing minor repairs and preventive maintenance to wastewater treatment equipment and training personnel on its use.
Experience utilizing information systems such as Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS).
Experience with facility maintenance procedures, identifying and coordinating correction of deficiencies.
Experience diagnosing and correcting mechanical equipment malfunctions.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
