You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the LOGISTICS DIRECTORATE of NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will conduct inventory research of supply and equipment for routine and unique customer requirements.
You will interpret and apply DOD supply and inventory management policy across all work products.
You will investigate and resolve supply inventory, receipt, and shipment issues.
You will communicate with customers on the status of supply orders, and deliveries both in writing and verbally.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Submitting requisitions into a supply system; 2) Conducting and maintaining supply inventories; 3) Preparing documents to transfer property within the organization, between agencies, or between other activities; 4) Posting requisition status and inventory data into an automated database; and 5) Determining the supply sources for items to include alternate sources for non-standard items.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
