Duties
Is thorough and conscientious about attending to detail when determining eligibility or consideration and questions pertaining to actions in evaluations, selections, and promotions area from a wide variety of input.
Identities a need: gathers, organizes, and maintains information; utilizing Army-wide Systems.
Understands and interprets written material, including rules, regulations, instructions, reports, or table; applies what is learned from written material to specific situations.
Holds self accountable for measurable high-quality and timely results. Determines objectives, and sets priorities. Complies with established regulatory and policy rules and established control systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent subject to a One-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Applicant must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is defined as one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which includes work that involves: Receiving and reviewing officer, NCO, and academic evaluations (OER, NCOER, and AER) and placing quality documents in Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) quickly, the Army Redress System, executing and monitoring merit promotions and special promotion actions, and conducting a myriad board and board membership support activities during pre-, during, and post-board operations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
