This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic DIB & MRTFB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties
Serves as Logistics Management Specialist within the Lead Materiel Integrator (LMI) Directorate.
Maintain compliance with established regulatory guidelines and distribution plans.
Utilize software such Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to assist in creating reports for meetings, conferences, and working groups.
Manage an identification system to allocate materiel resources for distribution, redistribution, and divestiture.
Identify developing trends from analysis of logistics life cycle performance data.
Prepare reports regarding policy, procedures, budget constraints, and changes in organizational structure.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Temporary duty travel of 25% may be required.

Specialized Experience required for GS-07: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: identifying equipment requirements to assist senior analysts, analyzing data to compile briefings in Powerpoint and/or Microsoft documents; and reviewing procedures to ensure program efficiency. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Education substitution for Specialized Experience for GS-07: Successful completion of one full year of graduate level education or superi9or academic achievement (defined as a bachelor's degree with at least one of the following: upper third of graduating class or GPA of 2.95 or higher OR membership in a national scholastic honor society. Additional information can be found in the OPM Qualifications Standards. If claiming superior academic achievement, you must include documentation to verify eligibility. (You must attach a copy of your transcripts).

Combination of Experience and Education Substitution for Specialized Experience for GS-07: If you have some, but not all, of the experience or education described above you may still qualify by combining the amount of creditable experience and education that you possess. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify. (You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
Specialized Experience for GS-09: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled including: compiling data for briefings and status reports; assisting with coordination with data to resolve issues affecting equipment readiness; and participating in in-process reviews/status briefings covering assigned mission. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Specialized Experience for GS-11: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled including: assisting senior analysts with logistics reports; evaluating logistical data to implement agency regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to materiel readiness; and create status briefings using computer applications to recommend improvements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Successful completion of at least a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited college or university. (Note: Transcripts are required with your application).
OR
If you have some, but not all, of the experience or education described above, you may still qualify by combining the amount of creditable experience and education that you possess. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education in excess of 36 hours (total semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at 100% to qualify.
