Duties

Serve as a Supervisor Human Resources (HR) Specialist (Military), with responsibility for providing technical advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of Military HR Programs. Perform review and analysis of military personnel strength data versus authorizations, by category of personnel, grade military occupational specialties (MOS) in assigned Career Management Fields (CMF). Compile and analyzes military personnel strength data such as assigned, authorized, and projected strength, transient, and student personnel, actual gains and losses, promotions and bonuses. Research historical documentation for use in developing recommendations for improved operations or action processing.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • The employee may be required to work overtime.
  • This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Managing Human ResourcesOral CommunicationReasoningTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS -11).
