Duties

You will serve as NSWC Corona Division's Office of Research and Technology Applications (ORTA) Manager coordinating, directing, and managing the Command's Domestic Technology Transfer. You will represent the Command in meeting federal laboratory technology transfer requirements, working independently with Navy, federal, industry, and community leaders. You will participate in technology transfer Communities of Practice, and track and report technology transfer activities. You will provide training and guidance to Command managers and employees on the requirement to protect intellectual property with invention disclosures and patents. You will formulate goals, plans and methods of evaluation, adjust long range plans, and develop budget requirements.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing Technology Transfer program operations to formulate plans, develop budgets, or recommend process improvements.
