This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will develop internal control test plans, provide oversight of financial reporting and operational testing, and review testing results for accuracy.
Duties
As a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST at the GS-0501-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Prepares all Risk Management Internal Control (RMIC) submissions to OUSD (C) as required as part of the annual Statement of Assurance reporting activities.
Manages the RMIC program at USTRANSCOM, which includes annually: identifying assessable units, appointing assessable unit managers, providing training for Statement of Assurance requirements, compiling risk assessment data, and conducting staff assistance visits.
Assesses internal controls to support reporting for the Statement of Assurance. Specifically, manages and reviews all financial reporting and operational testing to ensure testing is sufficient and test conclusions are accurate.
Prepares annual test plans of internal controls to ensure management's objectives are met.
Performs additional internal review activities to report on compliance with applicable rules and regulations as required.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector:
Developing internal control test plans and providing oversight of financial reporting and operational testing; reviewing testing results for accuracy is required.
Performing quality assurance reviews over identified business process risks to ensure compliance with requirements of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular No. A-123 and the Federal Managers' Financial Integrity Act of 1982.
Analyzing results of all internal and external testing to draw conclusions for the statement of assurance and providing assessment results to senior leaders.
Performing Risk Management Internal Control (RMIC) activities at assessable unit level or comparable business process operational unit.
