About the Position: The incumbent supports the procurement and management of resources for the organization, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory guidance in supply management processes. The incumbent will ensure all purchases are authorized and within required thresholds, as well as ensuring control and oversight of the acquisitions and customer service departments.

Duties

Ensure supply procurement procedures comply with regulations. Analyze supply inventory in order to initiate purchases. Research vendors and supply channels to identify appropriate acquisition in compliance with need, budget, and timelines. Develop standard processes for supply transactions to prevent loss and comply with agency directives. Direct subordinates in tasks and priorities to accomplish objectives in established timeframes.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • A pre-placement medical examination is required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management, Accounting, Finance, or other related program of study. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Human Resources ManagementPlanning and EvaluatingStrategic ThinkingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
