You will serve as a Production Scheduler in the Project Support Team (TRF-305), Repair Department (TRF-300) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will review technical and industrial requirements for the repair, refurbishment, modification, and material support of items ranging from general consumption to specialized technical use. You will develop technical documentation for industrial operations such as test requirements, workload projections, cost estimates etc. You will perform work which involves knowledge of software principles and methods for managed programs, system development processes relevant to managed programs, and technical documentation procedures. You will apply advanced techniques using the entire Microsoft Suite including the enhanced capabilities of Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Server, Visual Basic and other programming/data management applications.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an IT-II designation.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience scheduling the repair, overhaul, and testing of submarine systems/equipment; Experience preparing schedules and budgets based on plans for maintenance, repair work, new construction, alteration projects, or replacement of existing equipment; Experience evaluating, changing, or developing new services, procedures, and processes to increase program effectiveness; Experience scheduling the sequence of operations; Experience coordinating work forces and resources Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Substitution of Education:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.M. that is related to this position being filled
