You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), Sustainment Department (GT4) in the In-Service Support Branch (GT43) of NAWCTSD ORLANDO.
Duties
You will represent the Project Manager (PJM) and the FTSS Assistant Program Manager, Logistics (APML) during the source selection process, training program conferences, meetings, and program reviews.
You will visit operational training support installations, and private industry to provide technical direction, advice and assistance as required.
You will develop and execute logistic support plan and contracting support strategies to assure adequate integration of logistics support is included into customer training system contracts.
You will participate in the development and management of budgetary requirements for assigned training system programs.
You will provide subject matter expertise and comprehensive training system support for multiple fielded training system program contracts.
You will solve highly complex logistics problems and proactively assesses their root causes, recommends viable solutions and provides expert advice to resolve such problems within programmatic constraints.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 431 level Intermediate (I) within 12 months of appointment.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge and experience in advanced theory, concepts, principles, and practices of all aspects of the broad field of logistics management; 2) Providing integrated logistics support, training system operations and maintenance and instruction of support requirements for fielded training systems; 3) Managing contractual and funds processes associated with the acquisition and in service support of assigned training systems; 4) Providing assessments of programmatic decisions, identifying and determining trade-offs when necessary, considering training system life cycle logistics support impacts, with the ability to identify; 5) Applying cost-estimating methodologies to verify contractor proposed staffing approaches and solutions.
