This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), Learning and Diffusion Group (LDG), Division of Model Learning Systems (DMLS).
As a Supv Health Insurance Specialist (Division Director), GS-0107-15, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, analysis, evaluation and improvement of learnng systems.
Duties
Direct the activities necessary to ensure the successful completion of planning, development, and implementation of new or innovative program management.
Interview candidates for positions in the Division and make recommendations for appointments, promotions, or reassignments of employees.
Serve as an advisor to the Directors and executives of CMS components in preparation and review of short, intermediate, and long range plans for model design and learning system execution to improve participant performance.
Provide expertise and advice to partner organizations and internal stakeholders on how to strategically implement projects and ensure improvement in the quality.
Monitor complex technical and operational aspects of programs and projects using HCD to ensure successful completion.

In order to qualify for the GS-15 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Utilize an end user design to develop projects or studies related to improving healthcare initiatives or treatment; AND 2) Plan, organize, or assess work activities for employees or teams to ensure that program operational goals are met; AND 3) Coordinate projects that aim to improve quality and access of a healthcare program..
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
