Serves as a Management and Program Analyst in the Program Planning and Control (PP&C) Office supporting the Science and Technology Office at Marshall Space Flight Center. You will assess, develop, and maintain automated data visualization tools and systems and provide project performance analysis in support of organizational requirements.
Duties
Develops automated data analytical tools that extract data from primary or secondary sources that enhance the Program Planning and Control (PP and C) analysts’ ability to plan, analyze, integrate, and report program or project performance.
Supports the integration and maintenance of future agency or organizational tools/systems such as Marshall Resource Planning Tool (MRPT), Excel, or Power BI.
Performs analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data, removing corrupted data or eliminating coding errors, and preparing management reports displaying trends, patterns, and predictions.
Performs routine or ad hoc analysis and/or integration of organizational data such as budgeting, scheduling, cost estimation or Earned Value Management (EVM) to meet organizational requirements.
Identifies potential issues that may impact automated tools and systems. Makes recommendations and implements effective solutions to resolve issues.
Manages relationships, communications and expectations between organizational leadership, tool development teams and users of data analytical tools.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level:
Working on a team to develop or evaluate internal data analytic tool functionality and assessing compatibility with overall organizational objectives;
Utilizing automated tools (e.g. SAP, Power BI, etc.) to extract data from primary or secondary sources for data mining, pattern recognition, and/or preparing reports displaying trends or predictions;
Assisting program or technical managers in strategic planning, analyzing cost, performance, and/or data analytical requirements for programs, projects and/or activities.
