Duties
You will develop and maintain an organizational information system-level cybersecurity program.
You will ensure that information ownership responsibilities are established for each DoD information system (IS), to include accountability, access approvals, and special handling requirements.
You will ensure that all Privileged Users receive the necessary technical and cybersecurity training, education, and certification to carry out their cybersecurity/IT duties.
You will ensure organizational information systems are operated, used, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices.
You will ensure that information ownership responsibilities are established for each DoD information system (IS), to include accountability, access approvals, and special handling requirements.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You must must meet qualification requirements of the specialty area assigned as defined in appendix 4 of SECNAV M-5239.2.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
DS-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11/12) grade level or (DS-04) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and maintaining an organizational information system-level cybersecurity program that identifies Information Technology (IT) architecture, cybersecurity /IT requirements, cybersecurity /IT objectives and policies, and cybersecurity processes and procedures; 2) Drafting and implementing cybersecurity standard operating procedures (SOPs) for an organization; 3) Maintaining a repository for all cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation and modifications within an organization; 4) Mentoring and training junior Information Systems Security Officers on cybersecurity policies, regulations and procedures.
DS-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-9/10) grade level or (DS-03) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Maintaining a cybersecurity program that identifies Information Technology (IT) architecture, cybersecurity /IT requirements, cybersecurity /IT objectives and policies, and cybersecurity processes and procedures; 2) Verifying compliance monitoring and reporting results; 3) Coordinating cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews and reporting incidents appropriately.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education for the DS-04 level:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
