You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Managerial Accounting Office of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR.

Duties

You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of accounting. You will perform a variety of fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities. You will oversee the defense travel system for military and civilian employees at MCAS Miramar. You will perform duties as supervisory of the managerial accounting office, exercising the following responsibilities: plans, schedules, assigns and direct the work of division staff. You will maintain functional operation of the Defense Travel System and serve as the command liaison for the regionalized Disbursing Office at Camp Pendleton. You will oversee development of comprehensive training programs designed to teach the use of many SABRS subsystems and interfaces to Fund Administrators, fund administrator representative and all SABRS users. You will oversee the pay and timekeeping systems for civilian employees at MCAS Miramar. Telework eligibility will be determined at the discretion of management.

• This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, coordinating, developing and issuing operational and technical guidance and training required to use federal accounting systems and related feeder systems; identifying and resolving complex accounting errors, verifying financial documents for compliance; and overseeing civilian pay and travel systems.
