About the Position: The Project Manager position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating planning, scoping, development, design, construction and direction of various projects for assigned customers.
Integrate customer requirements and participation into a comprehensive management plan that is fully coordinated with all contributing agencies and organizations.
Implement corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations and policies in the development of the project and intermediate products in support of the project.
Serve as the organization's point-of-contact with contractors and customers.
Allocate project funds to Contracting Office consistent with progress attained, and measure and monitor performance to assure that commitments of all parties are being maintained.
Requirements
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating the planning of construction projects for an organization; controlling project budgets and schedules within an assigned department; administering guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of a project. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Project Management, Business Management or Property Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
