About the Position: Serves as the primary point of contact for resident or non resident foreign language training programs on quota management and course scheduling. This position is located at Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA.
Duties
Extracts reports from Student DataBase (SDB) and other databases for display on spreadsheets.
Conducts studies of work processes and administrative operations and based on analysis of findings, develops and implements work methods, record and file structures for data input, transfer, and output.
Performs quality control functions for the resident and non-resident scheduling and enrollment Student DataBase (SDB).
Coordinates/verifies the accuracy of Resident Mobile Training Team (MTT) and Video Tele-training (VTT) foreign language training requirements in Army Training Requirements Resource System (ATRRS) and local data bases.
Develops policy statements and procedural guidance regarding the submission and scheduling of training requirements
Coordinates, analyzes and executes Training Resources Arbitration Panel (TRAP) and quota swap actions for execution and budget
years.
Resolves scheduling problems identified by user agencies after publication of Master Schedule.
Resolves conflicts concerning projections of requirements, quota allocations, and scheduling of resident or non resident foreign
language training.
Compiles data reflecting future trends in foreign language training requirements at individual course level by requesting agencies, and as an aggregate for the full period of time reflected on ATRRS.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience 1) coordinating and scheduling all training resource issues with all unit courses; 2) run queries to extract and manipulate data from a student database; 3) conduct studies of work processes and administrative operations; 4) monitors scheduled courses and classes and resolve discrepancies within the database. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
