You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT ANALYST of SUBMARINE LEARNING CENTER (SLC).
Duties
You will advise financial technicians and management analyst of accounting techniques and controls.
You will perform SLC Labor Analyst duties, ensuring monthly reporting on phasing, actual, and discrepancies.
You will, as Budget Analyst, verify obligations/expenditures charged to funding documents, requests for procurements, labor, travel are recorded in a proper manner.
You will oversee/follow up/correct labor errors, unmatched disbursements, interface errors, etc. to ensure final amounts are correct.
You will update Mangement Internal Control (MIC) Plans, process flows, and document internal controls and processes (flowcharts).
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying Financial and budgetary knowledge of policies, precedents, goals, objectives and regulations to ensure work is performed within guidelines; 2) Analyzing and resolving budgetary problems for an organization; 3) Interpreting new accounting and reporting standards, regulations, and procedures to advise or provide on the job training; 4) Verifying financial data to ensure correct reporting.
