Duties

Analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's operations. Maintain an awareness of higher echelon policy and guidance and utilizes sound technical judgm.ent in assuring the development or revision of planning and execution in light of policy, guidance, and requirements. Work may include development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices. Review and evaluate budget requests Implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the successful completion of the Financial Management Level 2 Certification within 2 years of employment.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination. A candidate selected to this position will be required to sign a statement consenting to annual seasonal influenza vaccination.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes performing audit analysis/evaluation of the planning, programming, budgeting and execution of financial programs; interpreting financial/budgeting policies and regulations; utilizing automated financial management systems to analyze and reconcile financial data and obligations.
