You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst in the Submarine Learning Center Resource Center (N8) of CENTER FOR SUBMARINE.

Duties

You will participate in long-range and annual financial planning. You will manage, control and report obligations and expenditures. You will formulate budgets to support HQ Project Plans, programs and activities. You will maintain audit readiness and internal controls for the financial and supply operations.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing guidance to personnel on financial policies and procedures; 2) Maintaining an efficient supply support organization or logistics operations; 3) Demonstrating the ability to supervise and lead civilian personnel by planning work, setting priorities, providing technical oversite, advice and instruction to others in a financial setting; 4) Ensuring compliance and adherence to regulations, laws and policies within a financial operation.
