You will serve as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Acquisition Strategy Manager in the COMBAT DEVELOPMENT DIRECTORATE of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU.
Duties
You will serve as the principal advisor to the CDD-A Acquisition Programs Manager and Director, Combat Development Directorate for EOD related program initiatives.
You will pursue solutions for operational shortfalls that fall within the appropriate technology phases of maturity.
You will develop program plans considering long-range requirements, technological advances, budgetary projections, the data gained from the command test and evaluation process requirements, and lessons learned.
You will Identify new technologies and develop project strategies based on in-depth analysis of issues, requirements, long-range projections, and consideration of overall acquisition objectives.
You will work with Joint Integrated Product Teams (JIPT) to ensure both short-term and long-range requirements are met for various types of services, equipment, and systems, including special purpose munitions and specialized EOD equipment.
You will prepare the Program Objectives Memorandum (POM) and other planning, programming, and budgeting execution system (PPBES) documentation.
You will utilize quantitative and qualitative methods and ability to independently resolve different viewpoints regarding the best means of managing the various phases of project development.
You will apply Integrated Product and Process Development and Integrated Product Team management methods to the acquisition process.

- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing research and acquisition planning for combat development technologies (i.e Electronic Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Electronic Counter-measures (ECM), or nuclear, biological, and chemical warfare).
