Duties
You will read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings to define applicable criteria for new facility designs and for VTE systems.
You will develop, collect, analyze, evaluation and interpret full range of technical data.
You will operate a computer and have knowledge of Microsoft Software ( Word, Excel and Power Point).
You will identify deficiencies in physical condition of VTE via planned inspections, special inspections and customer work request.
You will read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings to define applicable criteria for new facility designs and for vertical transportation equipment VTE systems.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identify deficiencies in physical condition of VTE via planned inspections, special inspections and customer work request; 2) Read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings to define applicable criteria for new facility designs and for VTE systems; 3) Extensive technical experience of electrical, mechanical, structural and fire protection engineering fields, utilizing procedures, practices and feasibility of engineering methods to provide solutions to critical problems within the electrical, mechanical, structural and fire protection engineering fields; 4) Interpreting Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) design criteria, American Society of Mechanical Engineer safety codes, ASME inspection manuals, National Electric Code and National Fire Protection Association codes as it applies to VTE and; 5) Develop, collect, analyze, evaluation and interpret full range of technical data, and utilizing Microsoft Software ( Word, Excel and Power Point).
