About the Position: Performs the full range of pre-award and post-award functions for a variety of service and/or supply contracts for Army Special operations activities. This is a pay banded position. The NH-02 band encompasses grades 5 to 11 under the General Schedule (GS) system.

Duties

Performs the development, justification, coordination, and completion of a large number and variety of procurement transactions from time of receipt to award of contract. Develops solicitations and awards fixed-price contracts involving sealed bidding procedures. Ensures that bid schedules are properly structured, prepares solicitations, determines sources to be solicited, develops new sources as needed. Develops solicitations and awards contracts involving the more complex fixed-price with special provisions and specialized procurements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position requires submission of the Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the NH-01/GS-4 grade/level which includes:1) Reviewing requisitions and determining appropriate method of procurement; 2) Developing procurement plans; and 3) Performing pre- and post-award functions. All Current Federal Employees MUST attach a current SF-50 for consideration. Without a SF-50, your application WILL NOT be considered.
