This position is located in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, Division of New and Renewed Licenses. The supervisor is Bernie Thomson.
This position is in the Bargaining Unit with the National Treasury Employees Union, Chapter 208.
This position is not subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements.
This position is subject to security ownership restriction reporting requirements.
Duties
The selectee will serve as a Financial Technical Assistant to the Director, Division of New and Renewed Licenses (DNRL), Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR). You will conduct long-term strategic and innovative planning, budget formulation and execution, strategic human capital forecasting, and programming, short- term planning, program or policy issue resolution, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
1. Demonstrated ability in leading innovative change management, budgeting, contracting, and administrative activities.
2. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and organize heavy workloads.
3. Ability to communicate information, ideas, and advice in a clear, concise, and logical manner, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, NRC management, and with representatives of professional groups or other Federal or State agencies.
4. Ability to work effectively and independently with division, office, or agency representatives.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: Experience that demonstrates knowledge of budget formulation, budget execution, and 10 CFR Parts 170 and 171 fee related policies, procedures, and practices. Experience in conducting analysis of budget and financial data and information and presenting results, advice, and recommendations to various audiences, include senior management.
