You will serve as a Work Integration Manager in the Operations Department of PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will act as a representative and work integration manager providing oversight of contractors to ensure compliance with standard work practices, personal safety, ship safety, and hazardous material handling.
You will coordinate the methods of updating the schedule with the maintenance providers to maintain the project schedule as an accurate assessment tool for overall project progress.
You will sequence and schedule processes pertaining to the development and issue of all scheduling products for construction, maintenance, repair, manufacturing on ships, cranes or projects.
You will integrate the work authorized for the shipyard, ships force and other maintenance providers for each project by ensuring the sequencing and scheduling all work supports the project teams strategy.
You will establish performance objectives, evaluate employee performance and mentor or advise employees on administrative and technical matters.
You will make recommendations concerning work assignments, employee development training, awards, and promotions.
You will approve leave, resolve union issues, carry out policies in labor and employee relations or recommend discipline.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require occasional lifting and/or carrying of up to 60 pounds.
- This position requires frequent trips to shipboard work sites that involve climbing stairs or ladders, entering dry docks and entry into radiation areas and industrial work areas.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing work authorizations of trade production projects to execute timeliness, recommend corrective actions, and incorporate modifications of contract requirements.
