You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) at NAV RECRUITING DISTRICT RALEIGH.
Duties
You will analyze software capabilities to determine reliability in an information technology (IT) system.
You will design a database plan to maintain organizational information.
You will verify product design is accurately documented in the product definition information.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. Must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Tech Support/Network Ops Specialist entry level within 12 months of appointment.
- Position requires Information Assurance Technician (IAT) category level II within six months of notification.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying information technology principles and practices to provide technical support to personnel; 2) Troubleshooting information technology problems; 3) Managing networks and systems, performing preventive maintenance of hardware; 4) Maintaining inventories of IT equipment; 5) Assisting with tracking user accounts; 6) Installing/replacing hardware and software; and 7) and maintaining a current inventory database to include hardware and software systems.
AND
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

Applicants that do not meet the specialized experience may qualify with education or a combination of experience and education as listed below.
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

Have successfully completed 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree
