You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) in the NAV RECRUITING DISTRICT RALEIGH.
Duties
You will analyze software capabilities to determine reliability in an information technology (IT) system.
You will design a database plan to maintain organizational information.
You will verify product design is accurately documented in the product definition information.
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area IAT level II within 6 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying information technology principles and practices to provide technical support to personnel; 2) Troubleshooting information technology problems; 3) Managing networks and systems, performing preventive maintenance of hardware, 4) Maintaining inventories of IT equipment; 5) Assisting with tracking user accounts, 6) Installing/replacing hardware and software; and 7) Maintaining a current inventory database to include hardware and software systems.

Education
Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

Successfully completed 2 full years (36 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
