As a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist for Trident Refit Facility (TRF), you will serve as the Business and Maintenance Management Department Head for the Business and Maintenance Management Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.

Duties

You will be responsible for the development and execution of the command’s Business, Maintenance management, and Strategic Planning programs. You will develop workload and workforce forecasts, workload studies, and short-range and long-range planning data to support execution of the command’s workload. You will develop, implement, and improve processes and procedures for submarine and maintenance programs. You will ensure the command properly plans and accounts for the execution of assigned work and will manage logistics programs that facilitate the accomplishment of work. You will be responsible for the execution of departmental finical planning, budgeting, and cost analysis and will identify, evaluate and justify training and training equipment. You will provide technical direction in identifying and reporting TRIDENT configuration management and Integrate Logistics Support (ILS) functions to support Class Maintenance Plan (CMP) and Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) maintenance requirements.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Planning and accounting for the execution of a ship class maintenance plan OR managing logistics programs that facilitate the accomplishment of the mission of an intermediate or depot level ship maintenance activity AND 2. Managing a multi-discipline workforce to include performance management, staffing, training, and budgeting.
