You will serve as a Supervisor Logistics Management Specialist in the Refit Management & Availability Scheduling Division, Business and Maintenance Management Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.

Duties

You will lead the division that is composed of the Refit Management, TRIDENT Life-cycle Scheduling, Maintenance Plan Management, Availability Scheduling. You will be responsible for the control and coordination to develop, implement, and maintain policy for the operating efficiency of a comprehensive logistics planning and management program. You will be responsible for maintaining the logistics support system current, effective, and responsive throughout the life-cycle of the TRIDENT Class submarine. You will maintain oversight and coordination for all technical aspects of TRIDENT refit planning, scheduling, control processes, and reporting in the accomplishment of the TRIDENT Class Maintenance Plan (CMP) and SSP maintenance requirements. You will serve as the Command Availability Scheduler. You will provide short- and long-range production planning support through work scheduling, shop loading, resource requirements and refit scheduling. You will supervise subordinate Logistic Management Specialists, Data System Analysts, and Availability Schedulers; planning daily and weekly work schedules and establishing priorities.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector overseeing the planning and logistical support (such as manpower, training, funding, risk management) to meet the cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness of project objectives for life-cycle maintenance, modernization, and repair of ships or submarines.
