You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Refit Management Division of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.
This announcement is for an Upward Mobility Program position.
Duties
You will perform the following duties under close guidance and supervision:
You will assist in providing workload forecasting and identifying production resource requirements.
You will identify and schedule planned maintenance requirements based on completion dates, engineering documentation and logistics technical data.
You will analyze and measure the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of schedule planned maintenance requirements.
You will perform a variety of Data Call request and make recommendation for rescheduling Planned Maintenance Requirements (PMR) due to budget shortfalls and changes in availability schedules.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
The Upward Mobility Program is a unique job opportunity. This program is designed to provide Department of Navy employees career growth opportunities who have potential but do not presently meet the Office of Personnel Management qualification requirements for this position. The entry level for this position is GS-07 with a full performance level of GS-11.
Knowledge of employees selected may vary and will require the development of an individually tailored training plan to assist them in qualifying for the full performance level of this position. Eligibility requires that the employee be performing satisfactorily, complete all training requirements, acquire the requisite qualifications and have met time-in-grade eligibility for career ladder promotions.
GS-09: This recruitment is open to applicants with GS-09 or WG-10 (or higher) equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to coordinate and integrate resources and identify scheduling or resource alternatives (e.g., funding, manpower, equipment, supplies, services) needed to support a program
GS-07: This recruitment is open to applicants with GS-07 or WG-05 (or higher) equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to plan, integrate, and coordinate resources (e.g., funding, manpower, equipment, supplies, services) needed to support a program.
Employee Participation Requirements:
Must be a current permanent employee serving under a competitive appointment, or under a time-limited or excepted appointment that provides for noncompetitive conversion to a permanent appointment (e.g., VRA, Schedule A)
Employees must be GS-07 or WG-05 equivalent (or higher) to be eligible for this opportunity
Have a current annual performance rating of fully successful or equivalent rating
