You will serve as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Corporate Business and Analysis Group, Digital Information, Technology, Analysis & Cyber Department, Advanced Programs Division, Command Risk Mgmt Br of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will assist the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) by developing policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data. You will promote awareness of security issues among management and ensuring sound security principles are reflected in organizations' visions and goals. You will develop and implement programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures. You will monitor information systems and user compliance with cybersecurity policy, as appropriate, and review the results of such monitoring. You will ensure that any cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews are synchronized and coordinated with affected parties and organizations.

• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722 level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Implementing information assurance policies and performing Risk Management Framework tasking; 2) Implementing cybersecurity programs including cybersecurity architecture, requirements, objectives and policies; 3) Developing and implementing programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures; 4) Analyzing customer information systems for risks to the organization. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
