You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the AIR OPERATIONS of NAVAL AIR TERMINAL.
Duties
You will perform supervisory and administrative duties and are responsible for the organization and control of all personnel and material resources associated with the traffic management functions.
You will Identify the type of cargo and specialized equipment needed for Department of Transportation , Federal Aviation Administration, International Traffic in Arms Regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, and foreign regulations..
You will draft transportation discrepancy reports related to the shipment of items.
You will analyze freight transportation movement documents and forms to determine the shipment needs, arrangements, and controls from point of origin, enroute, or at ultimate destination.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Implementing transportation procedures in accordance with policies and regulations related to the movement of cargo and freight, commercial tariffs and tenders to properly rate freight/cargo shipments; 2) Developing solutions to resolve transportation issues, discrepancies and customer complaints; 3) Evaluating passenger transportation operations for effectiveness and efficiency of program; and 4) Ensuring traffic documentation is maintained and disposed properly; and 5) Operating and understanding the Cargo Movement Operational System.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
A master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
