You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (SHIPBUILDING) in the DEPUTY QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA) DIRECTOR DIVISION (301); in the QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPARTMENT (300) of SUPSHIP.
Duties
You will be responsible for program planning for new or modified contracts including coordination of resource needs with Functional Area and Process Audit Team Leaders and for the assembly and coordination of a contract review team.
You will articulate the need for a particular review, identify the necessary resources and time frames for conducting the review, coordinate review activities, and document findings and recommendations.
You will identify corrective actions needed as a result of the documented reviews and evaluations and for coordinating implementation of same.
You will track and provide status on corrective actions that originate outside the Quality Assurance Department and remain engaged until corrective action is complete.
You will represent the Quality Assurance Department at milestone event readiness assessment meetings, quarterly production progress conferences, quarterly program reviews, and periodic project team meetings.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing quality assurance reviews, audits, and evaluations in support of shipbuilding, repair, or modernization program.
