About the Position: Works under the general supervision of the Team Chief who provides overall guidance as to objectives, priorities, policies, and scope of program and project proposals. this position is located at the Human Resources Command (HRC) with the Reserve Personnel Management Directorate.
Duties
Within prescribed guidance, uses judgment and interpretation when making decisions to deny or approve USAR Soldier action requests in whole or in part.
Evaluate recommendations for changes to existing personnel and or mobilization systems
Assess customer needs, provide information and assistance, resolve problems, satisfy expectations and provide quality products and services.
Demonstrate proficiency using automated information systems to process human resources actions.
Interpret regulations and announces policy changes to internal and external USAR leaders.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- If selected, the agency will provide information regarding what documentation is needed and how to request any legally required exceptions from this requirement.
- Applicant will be required to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.background investigation.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
