Duties

You will assist in directing/developing system engineering plans needed to meet security requirements for the Navy's nuclear weapons security systems. You will review and interpret policies, program guidance and objectives relating to assigned security responsibilities and translates into operational management methods, systems, and operations. You will formulate and recommend changes in procedures, practices and techniques to accomplish desired results with a broad view toward obtaining maximum efficiency and effectiveness. You will identify potential vulnerabilities in the design, deployment, and operation of systems technologies used to support the nuclear weapons security program. You will analyze and evaluate on a quantitative/qualitative basis the effectiveness of line program operations in meeting established nuclear weapons security requirements. You will analyze management information requirements as it applies to making decision between meeting user needs and beginning conceptual design of a security system. You will evaluate and advise on nuclear weapons security systems interfaces, concept of operations, documentation, training, manpower and maintenance. You will work closely with the lead in developing procedures and systems for establishing system requirement specifications, initial requirements documents, and architecture views. You will conduct security inspections and security policy compliance enforcement.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyze and evaluate program operations regarding Nuclear Weapons Surety and/or other related nuclear weapons systems program operations.
